inspiration monday

I am back! It has been such a hectic week. I could have done some outfit pictures in the car actually, since most of the time I was on the road. If I could set up my tripod in the car, I would. This is typically what a mom does during the school vacation: zipping from places to places with the kids for their activities. So finally, before I zipped away again, I stole some time for inspiration monday outfit.

This week's inspiration at Two Birds is Jenna Dewan-Tatum, she is a model and a dancer. I am smitten by her floral flowy jacket. It puts me in a mood for a summery outfit. I tried to put on my jeans...only for two minutes and it was back in my wardrobe. The heat was just too much. So I pulled out a hand-me-down romper from Linda.

  3. that scarf totally looks like a jacket from some angles and I love the bright floral pattern. it really lights up the whole look! and I like the photo where you're moving. such a cool effect!
    oh, and I wish I had some completely free time to spend on my blog, closet, garden, things like that :)

  10. Hope you have some down time in between zipping to and from one place to another!!! As much as I love denim it is impossible to wear it on hot sweltering summer days, so I definitely do not blame you for opting it out of this outfit. Your alternative definitely is more seasonal and works well...Never thought of a bright flowery scarf to be worn like that! So clever!

  15. Mongs, I really like your scarf, it makes me think of modern day batik. So the school holidays are on now? I would love to see you when I get to Singapore, most likely when the school is back again as I know how busy it can be with the kids.     My blog ate your comment, but I thought I'd respond here - I too love to collect hardcover picture books. There's just something special about holding a vividly illustrated picture book in your hands and turning the pages ... I know lots of people are switching to Kindles, e-books, etc. but I don't think a device can ever replace a real book. :)
