This week's inspiration at Two Birds is Jenna Dewan-Tatum, she is a model and a dancer. I am smitten by her floral flowy jacket. It puts me in a mood for a summery outfit. I tried to put on my jeans...only for two minutes and it was back in my wardrobe. The heat was just too much. So I pulled out a hand-me-down romper from Linda.
romper (hand-me-down)
thrifted scarf ($3, NU&O)
Zara sandals ($15, sale)
Vinci wooden bead necklace ($7, sale)

I bet she doesn't have speed like a super mom

I love this outfit! You look awesome as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to do more "outfit of the day" pictures but by the time I remember, I'm already out the door with the kids. Haha...it's the life of a mom, huh? :)
The scarf makes this outfit look so put together. It really pops against the black romper - which is so cute. This is another keeper! Bravo!
ReplyDeletethat scarf totally looks like a jacket from some angles and I love the bright floral pattern. it really lights up the whole look! and I like the photo where you're moving. such a cool effect!
ReplyDeleteoh, and I wish I had some completely free time to spend on my blog, closet, garden, things like that :)

sounds like you had a super busy week! I love that the scarf you wore looks just like a kimono, I had to do a double take :) Also the romper, perfect piece for summer, and fyi it's crazy how you can pull ANYTHING off!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I really love this! That scarf looks almost lIke a flowy jacket....I know what you mean about jeans and the heat....my blue jeans are completely neglected in the summer! Hugs gorgeous!!! ~serene

Hope you have some down time in between zipping to and from one place to another!!! As much as I love denim it is impossible to wear it on hot sweltering summer days, so I definitely do not blame you for opting it out of this outfit. Your alternative definitely is more seasonal and works well...Never thought of a bright flowery scarf to be worn like that! So clever!

Mongs this outfit gives me great inspiration. I was just thinking that I don't have a kimono looking top...maybe a wrap would do. Have a great day supermom. Great shoes too. dawn suitcase vignettes xo

Mongs, I really like your scarf, it makes me think of modern day batik. So the school holidays are on now? I would love to see you when I get to Singapore, most likely when the school is back again as I know how busy it can be with the kids. I will call you - I will send you a message on my FB because I don't remember where I put your number. I can't wait to meet you at last, and hope we can do a spot of thrifting together!
ReplyDeletebeautiful scarf mongs! what a clever idea to use the scarf as a kimono jacket.that romper fits you well, & looks fantastic on you. :) you asked about my art journaling inspiration. for the picture with the lady singing & the flowers, i was inspired by a music video. in one of my art classes, my teacher used it for inspiration. i will watch a video, pause parts & draw the images. sometimes i jot down notes of color scheme or ideas. here's the link to the video.

You are just too cute...super mom indeed!! Super fashionista too. Love the scarf with the romper. And for it being as hot as you say it is, you always look amazingly fresh. When I am hot, I swear I bloat up everywhere--from my hair to my toes.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is so beautiful, you can wear it as a skirt or a top :)

You are glowing in that shade of pink, and I think pink and black are such a chic combo. Love the romper - I've never been interested in them before, but I'm starting to notice how cute they can be. :)
ReplyDeleteMy blog ate your comment, but I thought I'd respond here - I too love to collect hardcover picture books. There's just something special about holding a vividly illustrated picture book in your hands and turning the pages ... I know lots of people are switching to Kindles, e-books, etc. but I don't think a device can ever replace a real book. :)
I love how you wear this beautiful scarf !

Brilliant, speedy super mum. Maybe you could set you camera on the dash board and shoot from there :-) Xxxx
ReplyDeleteRompers and warm weather are a match made in heaven! The scarf on top looks super chic, love that it adds color to your look! Hope your week is going well!
