Hello! I'm mongs. I live on a little island called Singapore. I am a christian SAHM of two lovely boys and wife of a wonderful husband. I started this blog to journal my personal style and other things that I love.
why thrifty closet?
Stay at home mothers like me live on little. So my closet comprises mostly of thrifted things and a lot of hand-me-downs. My friends and sister-in-law often give me clothes and shoes that they don't wear anymore. I love hand-me-downs. Sometimes I will tear some of the clothes apart and make new things or refashion some of the clothes to suit my style.
what are your interests?
I like art, history, design, architecture, photography, nature, craft, sewing, doodling, fashion, music, food, vintage design, home and decor, 70's style made-in-china kitchen wares, reading the bible, dreaming, blogging ... I probably need another blog to list out everything. I like too many things...other than my thrifty style, I try to include a little bit of everything in my blog.
what inspires me?
God, the creator of all things, and anything around me like nature, street fashion, interior, objects, books and art. I like to read other blogs for inspiration and go window shopping for ideas. I read a lot of magazines too.
what camera do I use?
In my dreams, I use the lastest Nikon DSLR. In reality, I use a Canon SX230 HS powershot.
where do you take your outfit photos?
When I am busy or if the weather is bad, or when I feel lazy, I take my pictures in the living room. When I have the time, I like to explore the island and take pictures at various locations.
